Osteoporosis therapy Munich

Osteoporosis (morbid bone loss) is a widespread disease with increased bone fragility.

This disease occurs particularly in older women. In principle, however, anyone can be affected. Osteoporosis is sometimes also an expression of another endocrine disease (e.g. a calcium metabolism disorder).

An endocrinological investigation and examination is part of the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, as a number of hormonal disorders (e.g. thyroid and parathyroid disorders, hormone deficiencies) can cause osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis early detection

By measuring the bone density and a corresponding physical examination, the risk of developing osteoporosis is determined and an individual treatment to improve the bone density can then discussed.

Osteoporosis Risk Test

The Osteology umbrella organization has developed a risk test based on the recommendations published in 2009 about the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. With the publication of the revised recommendations in 2014, the 2009 publication is outdated and no longer available. If you have any questions about osteoporosis and your individual risk, we would be happy to advise you personally!
